Disclosure Statement

A statement or document that shares information known by one party with another party for the purpose of not only providing them more information for decision-making, but also to remove the perception unethical dealings from withholding the information.  In real estate, one example may be a property condition disclosure where a seller shares information about the property.  Another example may be that a brokerage discloses their interests in other companies (lenders, title companies, etc.) that may be used by the client during the transaction.
