Those homes can sometimes take on a commercial building look of more glass and fewer elevation design elements. This not only keeps the structures aligned with their surroundings, but also maximizes what may already be a small piece of land to build on. As you move outward even just a short distance to the suburbs surrounding each urban hub, homes often take on a more traditional look and tend to have a larger footprint. The lots allow for on-site garages and design elements to the elevations that are more visual pleasing than functional.
